Where We Work

Hamilton County is home ground, and Chattanooga is the county seat. Sewer here is not one blanket system. The city runs lines, and the county wastewater authority runs its own service areas town by town, so coverage arrives in patches. Everything past the end of a line runs on a septic system, and that is our whole map.

The unincorporated country is where the work concentrates. Ooltewah, Harrison, Apison, Sale Creek, and Birchwood are all unincorporated communities with no municipal utility of their own to have extended a main. Soddy-Daisy is an incorporated city, and even there the wastewater authority runs a defined service area rather than covering every address, which leaves the outlying parts on septic.

Ground changes fast across that map. Signal Mountain sits up on Walden Ridge, and ridge soil is thin and rocky over limestone. The valley floors east and north hold deeper clay residuum that accepts water slowly. Apison is rural and large lot with a lot of newer construction, so we see first systems there as often as failures. Ooltewah is the growth story, with subdivision pushing out ahead of sewer.

Two towns sit on our edge. Georgetown straddles the corner where Bradley, Hamilton, and Meigs counties meet, and only part of it falls on the Hamilton side. Birchwood straddles the Hamilton and Meigs line out along the highway near the meeting of the Hiwassee and the Tennessee. We serve both, and on those two the county line matters, because it decides who permits the work.

Towns we serve:

Counties: Hamilton County, Tennessee, plus the Meigs County edge at Birchwood and the Hamilton side of Georgetown.

Coverage runs across Hamilton County and into Meigs County at the northeast corner.
